Tour Option 1 – Dondra
Dondra is approximately 6 km’s southeast of Matara. The name Dondra is a synonym for “Devi-Nuwara” in the local Sinhala language, “Devi” meaning “Gods” and “Nuwara” meaning “City”. Dondra is therefore derived to mean “City of the Gods”.
Dondra Lighthouse
Dondra Head Lighthouse is a lighthouse located on, Dondra, the southernmost point in Sri Lanka and is Sri Lanka‘s tallest lighthouse, and also one of the tallest in South East Asia.
Dondra Temple
Historically known as Devinuwara temple port town or Devinuwara temple town, Dondra was until the late 16th century a historic temple port town complex. A multi-religious site, its primary deity was the Buddhist god Upulvan and at its zenith was one of the most celebrated religious sites of the island, containing a thousand statues of the various sects of Hinduism and Buddhism.

Mulkirigala Temple
Mulkirigala Raja Maha Vihara (also known as Mulgirigala Raja Maha Vihara) (Sinhalese: මුල්කිරිගල රජමහා විහාරය) is an ancient Buddhist temple in Mulkirigala, Sri Lanka. It has been built on a 205 m (673 ft) high natural rock, surrounded with another four rocks known as Benagala, Kondagala, Bisogala and Seelawathiegala. The temple has been constructed on a massive natural rock similar to Sigiriya, the site is known as Punchi Seegiriya (Little Sigiriya) by the locals.
Wawurukannala Temple
The wawurukannala Temple is situated in Dikwella close to Talalla, a temple that hides beneath it, tales of rich history and cultural heritage. Named Wawurukannala, the temple has its own interesting story to tell. This temple has the largest Buddha statue in Asia.
